Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com
In the path of enormously popular collections of number one singles by Elvis and the Beatles comes this crammed (seconds shy of the 80-minute mark) disc from another pop-culture icon, Diana Ross & the Supremes. 14 Diana Ross/Supremes tracks appear in some of their most vivid sound ever, while the post-Ross Supremes get their due with "Stoned Love." Ross' Hollywood years make for the weakest music here ("Touch Me in the Morning," "Endless Love"), but disco smashes "Upside Down," "I'm Coming Out," and "The Boss" prove as smart, canny, and enduring as Supremes 45s like "You Keep Me Hangin' On" and "Reflections." The contemporary, yet already dated, remix of "Hangin' On" at album's end suggests, in fact, that Ross might make one more dance-floor comeback if paired with the right behind-the-scenes team. Basement Jaxx, anyone? --Rickey Wright

5 out of 5 stars Superb Supremes   September 30, 2008
Sunny (Australia)
This is a faboulous CD with all the original favourites including 2 versions of "Keep me hanging on"! Amazing, definitely recommend.

5 out of 5 stars The magic of the past has reborn   September 20, 2008
Hiram Gomez Pardo (Valencia, Venezuela)
The Supremes with Diana Ross as their natural vocalist leader, captured immediately the attention all around the world, because somehow it so long expected crystallization of a long dream. At last it was possible to watch in action a new rhythm accompanied and supported by a frenetic and staggering dance, filled of a new proposal, once the reminded twist had grown old too soon and certainly, had nothing to say.

The personal magnetism of Diana and the alluring charm of the rest of the group bewitched and engaged to a crowded portion of the audience, avid of new sounds and rhythms.

Today this music can sound dated, but beware and think it over, maybe your children of today, and teenagers in the next decade perhaps regard the actual divas on stage dated too.

It's time to take a look toward the past and remind that possibly the sixties was the most creative, irreverent and effervescent of all of them along the last century. That must mean something, taking into account the only device of promotion was relegated to the ear, because the video clip was not even wearing swaddles.

5 out of 5 stars Love Supremes   August 30, 2008

First the Eco-Friendly package is a great idea, it should be done for all
CD's and DVD's. The CD itself wonderful collection of number one hits,
it took me back to my childhood and preteen. Everyone I played this for
loved it.(work) I downloaded it to my Ipod, I've told all my friends
and family where to get a copy. The sound is like being at a concert.

4 out of 5 stars Great collection (lousy packaging)   May 27, 2008

This is easily the best Diana Ross collection both with the Supremes and also solo, issued to date. Greatest hits every one, based on No. 1 status, with no filler and very well mastered to my ears. Not a single duff song in the whole selection

Why then the reason for 4 stars? Simply the dreadful "eco-friendly packaging" - within a few uses the insert for holding the CD in place fell apart! So I ended up doing a bit of my own recycling replacing it with an old black plastic insert from an old CD case being glued onto the cover. So be warned!

5 out of 5 stars Great!   January 24, 2008

This CD is a must for anyone who wants to own the best of the Supremes. The Diana Ross solo songs are a bonus.
