One of the Best Country CD's of the Year January 4, 2009 Paul S (Portland OR area) This CD shows Brad's strong talents in regards to diverse musical styles, with some bluegrass, country, jazz and other styles of guitar music featured. He throws in just enough songs with vocals to keep us connected to that part of him, but it's the guitar work and diversity of style that shine here. This CD should give Kenny's Lucky Old Sun a run for the money as best country cd of the year. I'm mighty impressed. Paul
Cracked me up! December 23, 2008 Tom D (Naples, FL) This is a really fun (funny?) CD with great playing. Rarely does music make you laugh but it's really obvious that everyone was having a riot playing these tunes. I can almost feel the musicians cracking up. You don't have to be into country to enjoy this CD. Brad holds his own with most all guitarists out there and the music here is very "up". Tom
Play On.... December 22, 2008 Kenneth Novak The guitar riffs are signature Brad Paisley! It plays well but I miss his vocals mixed in, otherwise it is a very good instrumental CD.
Not a good Choice December 16, 2008 J. Abdulla (New York, NY) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
When I buy a CD for Kenny G, I expect that there will be no vocals and only instruments, but when I buy a CD from Brad Paisley I expect nice and funny song s as usual, he failed is with this CD, if I knew it will be only guitar and only 4 songs with vocals I would not buy it. Brad, You Failed us this time
Brad Paisley "Play" December 14, 2008 David John Skinner (Lidingoe Sweden) Very good CD to motivate guitar enthusiasm, could make you pick up your guitar or throw it away. I recommend this Cd from a musicians point of view. Brad Paisley is a virtuoso no doubt about it. It's very good listening, Hats off to Brad!
