Epitome of Human Achievement January 9, 2009 Miguel Ybarra This camera is simply amazing. It has so many EASY to use features and settings, that other digital cameras look like disposables next to it. The BIG seller for my wife and I was the mega pixel count. We have already taken two pictures and blown them up 8X11 and one larger while retaining the crystal clear look of the original shot. We also plan to by the wide-angle and telephoto lenses available for this camera.... YES, that's right, you can hook these types of lenses to this particular digital camera. If this camera had one flaw, it would be that it doesn't focus as fast as i would have hoped, but it is still a hell of a lot fast than our old one.
Never Fails January 6, 2009 John Sechrest (North East, MD) This is my 3rd Sony digital camera only because I wanted to upgrade from the last model. Sony has never failed to please me with ANY of their products. The pictures are crisp and loaded with color. All of the functions this camera has makes it versital and just fun. Simple to use and offers clear control options. When you first pick it up, you feel the quality build of this unit. Glad I bought this one, sweet camera.
Sony Cybershot 13.6 Megapixels Won't Disappoint You January 6, 2009 Carmel (Washington, DC) I bought the new Sony Cybershot for my husband for Christmas 2008. He had the older model of the same camera, but had many complaints. Fortunately, it seems Sony has listened to what consumers disliked about its previous versions and has corrected everything about it. (Given we've only had the camera a few weeks, but so far so good.) Here are THREE major aspects we disliked about the OLD Cybershot and how they have been corrected (at least to our knowledge): 1.) OLD - The old Cybershot didn't have a viewfinder, and on a sunny day you couldn't see what you were shooting because of the reflection off the LCD screen. NEW - There's a viewfinder! This was seriously my first criterion for buying a new digital camera. 2.) OLD - It could not handle photographs at nighttime. Everything always turned out blurry and the colors distorted. NEW - the new, more user-friendly camera now has a setting which makes night shots a breeze. And the red-eye removal even eliminates red-eye for my blue eyes, which I rarely see the true color of in pictures because my pupils are always enlarged. 3.) OLD - The batteries went like hot cakes! NEW - Now, the Cybershot comes with a lithiom ion battery which holds up well and it includes an easily portable wall-charger (NO CORDS!). Overall, we are truly enjoying the new Cybershot. It's sleek, thin enough to fit in most pockets, user-friendly, and the picture quality is excellent with the 13.6 megapixels. We highly recommend this Sony if you're in the market for a new digital camera!
Nice pics--a little slow January 4, 2009 Rice eater (Baltimore, MD) OK, I'm not a super geek techie when it comes to cameras, I simply wanted a camera that I could take photos of my new baby. This camera does take beautiful photos--BUT it's s bit slow from the time you depress the button to actual capture. My husband's EXLIM is much much faster. This might not be a big deal for posed photos or older children, but when you're trying to capture a moment like a fleeting smile--those milliseconds matter.
Great Camera from Sony December 22, 2008 Marwan Al Sarkal (Sharjah, UAE) I really liked the Camera, its really fast to take pictures and the quality is superb !!
