Ambidextrous mouse not good for gaming October 6, 2008 Todd D. Oesterreich (Shorewood, MN USA) It's that simple. I don't own one of these, but I can tell you the ambidextous design does not optimize contour for righties or lefties. It's physically impossible to optimize for both. If you are a lefty it may be the best you can do, but certainly righties have any number of better options.
I expected more... September 21, 2008 Solo (Chester, NJ) mouse is doing good, even without mouse mat, right button sometimes needs more power to be pressed, buttons on the right side are for me in game unuseable because of their positiom, left side buttons are confortable and easy to be reached and pressed with your thumb
superb gaming mouse September 12, 2008 E. Manson (wouldn't you like to know) When I saw people raving about the razer I decided to give it a look, especially since I needed a gaming mouse considering that the one I had just did not cut it. I looked at a lot of their products including the Lachesis and Death Adder, but the Copperhead had a pretty good reputation so I decided to pick it up. When I got it I was excited as a little kid, I immediately installed the drivers and started messing with it. But I noticed that if you have windows vista it's a good idea to download the new firmware from razor so your os will detect the mouse. It was a little odd but it was made back in 2006 or so, so I understand. The mouse itself is amazing, I played bf2142 for a whole month before I got this mouse and I have to admit my old mouse was the main reason I didn't do as well. The response time and dpi was crap compared to this mouse. When I started playing with it my frag count went up...a lot. I know they say the hardware doesn't give you skill, but I can honestly say it does enhance it quite a bit. You just see the difference when you go from your old mouse to your new one and it just feels great. The mouse itself is light and takes a little while to get used to, but it's not that big of a deal unless your hands are rather large. The side buttons could be a little bigger but thankfully they're not so small that they're impossible to reach. I'd recommend trying it out first, getting the feel for it before you buy it. And if you don't like it go for the Logitech G5, it's no better or worse than this mouse, but you may prefer the feel of it better.
RAZER Copperhead May 28, 2008 G. Hereford (WI) I really enjoy using this mouse,it moves with precision & speed. How ever it seems to be a little wide on the sides, but that is the only con I've with this mouse.
Not only for gaming May 23, 2008 Alexey Peshekhonov (Moscow, Russia) I've got this mouse last Christmas. First I thought I would only use it for gaming but decided to try it for everything. First day was hard, as I was used to moving mouse all over my desk to move cursor from one monitor to another. With this mouse I'm able to do it in like 2"x1" space. On the second day I felt happy because I could easily target anything on my screen with a sligh move. Now I always take this mouse when I need to use another computer for a long time as other mouses are too slow. As for gaming, in MMORPGs this mouse is great. When you want to turn any angle, you just move a mouse slightly and there you are. Right buttons are meant for dpi change and I advice to disable them for gaming, as you don't want to set minimal dpi in the middle of the fight. Left buttons are great, I use them for the most common actions.
