More and more Americans are turning to the Internet to conduct all facets of their day-to-day lives. From shopping, tracing family trees and even dating, the Internet has proven to be an effective tool for so much of what we do. It is not surprising that people now use the Internet to find organs for transplants. Those on the official waiting list that distributes organs from deceased donors know there will never be enough to match the need. So, if they can make their own case to the public at large and find someone who empathizes with them and is willing to donate an organ, what's wrong with that? Doctors worry that something like Matchingdonors.com is inherently unfair and discriminatory. People will be moved by stories of people who "look" like them, or whose stories move them. ABC News looks at the issues posed by this latest intersection of technology and medicine. Anchors: Ted Koppel. Correspondent: John Donvan.
