Very basic -- better than your pocket. December 6, 2008 M. P. Schwartz (Weston, FL) It is hard to put on the holder. You have to lean against something and fumble to get the right fit. Once the arm band is on, you can't do much to start, stop of adjust your Zen. Finally, if you use the hole in the bottom of the little pocket in the holder -- it's there for the power cord -- you will not be able to bend your arm at all. By using the holder with the power cord coming from the top, you can at least pause the unit, or turn it on and off. Finally, you have to stuff the rest of the power cord into your sleeve. This is not the best way to carry an MPA player while working out. But is better than nothing.
Bad design makes it difficult to use November 24, 2008 The Wife (Louisville, KY) I like the way this armband fits snugly on your arm. However, the fact that there is no opening on the Zen armband means that it is impossible to view the menu screen while it is inserted in the holder. To look at it, you have to slip it out of the holder which you cannot easily do while it is attached to your arm. Also, you have to put the Zen in the holder before you attach the earbuds because the earbuds insert into an opening in the closed end of the holder. Therefore, you can't be listening to the player while you are inserting it in the holder. Plus, if you need to look at the menu after you have the player in the holder, you have to pull the cord of the earbuds through the hole when you slip it out of the armband, or take the earbuds out entirely. Very awkward design. An open viewing area on the armband, more like the "skins" would have been a good choice, or at least perhaps being able to slip the player out of the armband on the same side as the slot for the earbud. I am quite disappointed in this design.
zen armband November 17, 2008 Paul R. Busch (fredericksburg, va usa) works great, slides in the back, you dont need anything else. it has the controls embossed in the front and doesnt quite line up, but its close enough. you cant see the screen when its in the armband, but you dont really need to when your listeningto 200+ songs on random.
Great quality, long velcro October 26, 2008 MATHIEW (Argentina) True you can't see the screen, but you can skip songs and adjust volume, you have these embossed buttons on top of its Zen's counterparts. The material feels top quality and is long enough for Schwarzenegger use -- in fact, the excess surplus can become bothering.
Don't waste your money October 4, 2008 ChristianBlues (Michigan, USA) As others have noted, the biggest negative is you can't see the screen. It's also too easy to hit the wrong button with this. And, when I have used it for running, the ZEN ends up very wet with sweat. All around bad design. Don't waste your money.
