Lost all my data after a little over a month of use December 6, 2008 J. Nasser (Los Angeles, CA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was very excited and happy when I got this drive from Amazon as it seemed promising... Lots of storage space that would allow me to carry around large files and perform backups of large folders containing important files and pictures. I never dropped or damaged the drive, it was used mostly at home and occasionally on my laptop at work or at a coffee shop. After about a month, I was getting ready to turn my desktop off and decided to open a word document from the drive that I was working on earlier in the day. The computer (that has never given me problems before) hung on me for the first time as it tried to open the file from this jump drive. After restarting the computer, Windows discovered that this jump drive had multiple errors. I was not able to access any of my files. They were gone. I am afraid to use the drive for backups now and wouldn't trust this brand anymore. Windows was able to fix the drive but the data was lost. Fortunately most of the data was still safe in my PC's hard drive.
BAD Flash Drive, BAD Flash Drive!! December 2, 2008 Ruben Gallardo (PHX, AZ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I ordered this product two times. The first time I trusted the brand and loaded all my college projects on it. It worked great for 3 days and then it burnt out. I lost all college work and had to spend days re-drawing and re-modeling my animations. (My fault) The second time around the replacement could only read 250 MB's out of the 32 G's. So I had to buy Ki****'s brand and am more happy with this brand. I'll stay away from this brand and learned my lesson. BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP!
Don't Waste Your Money November 25, 2008 David Wemmie Jr. (Chattanooga) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Poorly designed. The item is a flash drive in a rubber sleeve. USB broke solder points under minimal use. I had to hyper extend the drive to make and keep connection long enough to retrieve data. Thankfully it wasn't full.
Great product November 24, 2008 harbinjer This is a great little USB drive. It is fast, and given its storage size it's a good thing it is. The rubberized coating has a neat rubbery feel, and it seems to protect the drive well. I'm not a huge fan of the cap holder though. I think it would be better if they let you stick the cap on the back end of it, or something. The chain has come apart at the connector for me, however that was in a bag, so it was fine, and I just re-attached it. Given its size and speed, I would definitely recommend this over all the other sticks I've used. You should also realize that this isn't tiny, but it doesn't interfere with other things plugged into the neighbor port.
Slow VMs November 10, 2008 Herman A. Diener (Virginia Beach) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great Capacity but, if you're thinking of using it to hold Virtual Machines you'll find that accessing these machines will be very slow as compared to an external HDD either powered or not-powered. Other then that 'I love it'...
