I purchased this from a local retailer and found it to be a piece of junk. We receive better signal and more channels with out "rabbit ears" alone, hope to return it and get something better!!!!! There should be a zero star rating for this one

I also picked this product base on consumer reports but I DO NOT recommend it. The reception is HORRIBLE. I can not go 1 minute without bad reception. Do not waste your money on this converter box. You will be terribly disappointed.

Bought this converter because it sounded like it would be easy to hook up. Well, we got it and read thru the manual then hooked it up. It scanned, nothing. We unhooked it and waited. Read thru the manual a couple of times to make sure nothing was missed, hooked it up again tonight....again scanned for channels and nothing. I am sending this one back and will shop around for a higher quality one, even if that means going somewhere else.

went from around 3 barely watchable channels to around 15 with very good quality in a rural area.
the only con is the remote, as others have stated it is very small and kinda cheaply made.
all in all, very pleased with this purchase
